Case Study – Frosts Pharmacy

Agilis Health has provided Frosts Pharmacy Marston’s Travel Clinic with the ability to offer its customers a PCR Fit to Fly COVID-19 testing service.

We spoke to Ben Sherwood, pharmacy manager, about how he’s found the process of setting up the service with the help of our team.

First, tell us a bit about Frosts Pharmacy

Frosts Pharmacy is a busy community pharmacy located in Marston, Oxford. The pharmacy is part of the Frosts Pharmacy group, a family run business started in 1925 by John Frost.

We provide a selection of free services including prescription delivery and a repeat prescription service. The pharmacy also runs a Travel Clinic, in which our patients can receive diagnostic services and vaccinations needed in order to travel abroad safely.

How did you find setting up the Fit to Fly testing service?

The Agilis Health team were accommodating right from the beginning and made the whole set-up process very easy.

It felt like a leap of faith, as we weren’t sure what to expect, but everyone at Agilis has bent over backwards to help us provide a service that we have confidence in.

From organising the training to accommodating additional courier requests, they continued to make a great impression!

We made the decision to administer PCR Fit to Fly test swabs on site ourselves as part of our Travel Clinic, as patients felt more comfortable with this process. Plus, it means our customers don’t have to administer or send off their own samples.

It’s straight forward too – we administer the Fit to Fly tests on site each day, a courier arrives in the afternoon to collect them and our patients receive their results within 24-48 hours (and it’s often before!)

How did Agilis continue to work with and support your team?

We had a single point of contact, Clark and if we needed anything clarifying or had any queries, he’d be very responsive and accommodating. Clark and the Agilis team really helped instil confidence right from the start.

When it comes to Fit to Fly tests, any form of delay or error could cause huge disruption and inconvenience to our customers and patients. So, it was crucial that we worked with a company who understood this and made every effort to provide an efficient, timely service.

There’s been a few occasions where a patient has needed a faster result and Agilis has done everything they can to accommodate – keeping us up to date at every stage and letting us know when swabs have reached the lab, when the lab are processing them and when to expect further notifications.

How would you describe your overall experience in working with Agilis?

Very positive – we really can’t fault it. Our customers and patients are confident in the service and we’re confident in our and Agilis’ ability to deliver it efficiently!

Agilis are always open to hearing our feedback and are constantly looking at ways to further enhance their existing services.

How likely are you to recommend Agilis to others and why?

I’m likely to recommend Agilis to others as they can provide a bespoke service, tailored around your pharmacy’s needs and taking into consideration the needs of our patients and customers too.
